He became his own living ritual art project, with the makeup (RED lipstick?) masks, band aids, veils, women's clothing, crutches, pajamas and wheelchairs.

At death, it is said his body was riddled with needle punctures; he was bald, and the tip of his nose was missing by the time they got him to the morgue.

Reminds me of some of the strange antics of Andy Warhol during the last years of his life. However, Michael Jackson seemed to take this sort of (performance-art?) to the ultimate degree.

Thanks for letting me share my thoughts! ; o)Orandonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01894400965395610307noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7759210171228170826.post-29576182226516420822009-08-09T14:22:39.173-07:002009-08-09T14:22:39.173-07:00Hi Ladies!

(It is a little hard to see - however I want to touch base on this theme of Neptune and "control" you mention.)

Probably, the hardest thing MJ ever did was take control of his career by firing his father. Still, I think that process may have stunted his growth as an individual. He was a mama's boy, and he was used to being taken care of. Thus, it was easier for him to go through life hiring people to coddle and clean-up after him. (I'm going by the bio by Taraborelli.)

Michael lived in the fantasyland of his power and achievements, thereby exerting control over the lives of families with their attractive children. Some families (I.E. Emmanual Lewis's parents) caught on and nipped that stuff in the bud, after a trip Michael took with the boy to Las Vegas.

The thing is, Michael Jackson only seemed to be control of himself when he was on stage. Off stage, he was quite a different person - unable to cope with pressure and personal responsibility. Thus he opened himself to Big Bad Wolves. (If he was not one, himself, in Granny's Clothing?) Taking into consideration the Law of Attraction, he loved to focus on haunted things and often related to the occult (whether he wanted to admit it or not). WHY would children be inducted into his bedroom with a viewing of "The Exorcist", of all things? (As per the bio by Taraborelli.)

These patterns were his self-undoing. He may have thought he was in charge of many situations (including his plastic surgeries and his doctors) because of his money... Be he was out of control - of himself. His life was riddled with lawsuits - up to 1,200 by the time of his death.Orandonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01894400965395610307noreply@blogger.com
